eight CEHS Musicians participate in mMEA all-state music festival
Eight Cape Elizabeth High School Students were selected to participate in the MMEA All-State Music Festival at the University of Maine in Orono. The festival took place over three days culminating in a series of performances on Saturday, May 18th at the Collins Center for the Performing Arts. These students qualified via a rigorous audition process and were selected as among the top students in the entire state for their instrument or vocal group!
CEMS band director awarded 2024 mmea music educator of the year
CEMS Band Director Missy Shabo was awarded the MMEA Music Educator of the year for 2023-2024. Congratulations!
Cape named one of "2024 Best Communities for Music Education"
NAMM Foundation recognizes the Cape Elizabeth Music Program for the ninth year in a row! The Best Communities Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students. Congrats and many thanks to Rob Wheeler, Joanne Lee, Caitlin Ramsey, Missy Shabo, Tammy Carusone, and Becky Bean!
