Concerts Without Barriers is a way for students in band and chorus to help each other. We collect gently used concert clothes to give out to band and chorus students who need them for performances. We want kids to be able to perform in their middle and high school concerts without worrying about how to get concert attire.
Q: What do we collect / give out?
A: We collect and give out the following items:
Black dress shirts
White dress shirts
Black dress pants
Long black skirts
Long black dresses
Black socks / tights (NEW)
Q: Who can access Concerts Without Barriers?
A: Anyone who needs to! It could be that buying new concert clothes is not in your family’s budget. It could be you outgrew your concert clothes and forgot to tell your parents in time (oops!). It could be that you want to help reduce textile pollution by donating and reusing concert clothes.
Q: How can I donate to Concerts Without Barriers?
A: Look for a bin in the main lobby and another near the band and chorus rooms. You can also donate funds to buy new black socks and new black tights via the Givebutter Campaign.
Q; How do I get the concert clothes I need?
A: Talk to your band/chorus teacher privately.
Q: Why should I donate to Concerts Without Barriers?
A: Kids should be able to perform music without having to worry about the expense of buying concert attire.
Q: Who do I contact if I have any questions?
A: Declan Scifres, declan.scifres@gmail.com
OR your band/chorus director OR your guidance councilor.
